Family of Vitaliy Bohoniuk

Vitaliy Bohoniuk (born in Volyn district) was mobilized in August 2014 to start his service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and took part in military actions in the eastern part of Ukraine.

During the rotation, he was sent home for medical treatment but died on March 24, 2015, because of coronary artery disease. After his tragic death, Vitaliy left behind his wife and three children: Oleg and Michael who are 18 years of age, and Diane who is 14 years old.

Diane studies in a specialized residential school. The girl needed a training suit, so with the help of Orphan Children of Maidan & ATO and local volunteers, it became possible to make this dream come true.

By the way, the older son Oleg also took part in ATO and his leg was injured. He is still under medical treatment and uses crutches for walking.
