Family of Oleksandr Hroshev
Oleksandr Hroshev was a soldier of the 80th separate air assault brigade. He was killed in Donetsk airport, but his body was identified by DNA examination only at the beginning of summer 2015.
Oleksandr was buried on June 22, 2015, in his native village Holovne (Volyn region).
Last week, in cooperation with the volunteer charity project “Children of the Heavenly Legion”, local volunteers went to the north of Volyn region to visit the youngest Oleksandr’s daughter Victoria and congratulate her on her third birthday.
It’s difficult to find a job in the village, and Oleksandr’s partner Larysa couldn’t afford to lay the table and celebrate. Moreover, she can barely walk after she fell down and hurt her leg. Thus, the volunteers are sincerely grateful to the Orphan Children of Maidan & ATO charity program for the groceries, sweets, and fruits bought for this family.
Victoria was very happy to get so much attention and so many presents. On such a special day, she shared her joy with her stepsister Valeria. These children do not have many toys and opportunities, they do not get much attention. Maybe, that’s because they live in a remote village, or perhaps people know less about this family because of the “partner” status of their mother, who was not officially married to Oleksandr.
