Family of Yuriy Koval

Yuriy Koval went to the East of Ukraine to defend his motherland, leaving behind two young children.

He was killed by a sniper after a six-hour battle in Maryinka on February 20, 2016. Yuriy was a commander of the division of the 14th separate mechanized brigade.

His widow and two daughters live in Lanivtsi (Ternopil region). The 11-year-old Yulia and 6-year-old Oleksandra love to roller skate and have lots of dreams. Yulia dreams to travel abroad and Oleksandra dreams of a trip to the sea and a smartphone.
